ALL-STATE CHAMPIONS!!!
Going into the meet the girls knew they had to be perfect to
come out on top at the All-State Meet. Four school records, one meet
record, and a huge PR in the triple jump. Mansfield was as perfect as you
can be as they took home the All-State title with 62 points!! The seniors
had a tough choice to make on Friday night: Do we go to the Senior
All-Night party or do we stay home and rest? The rest paid off as they won
by 19 points. Michelle Jenssen set the All-State meet record
standard at a blazing 62.82 (#4 on the MA All-Time List). Kelly McCabe
dished out 11 points with her 4th place finish in triple jump and 3rd pace
finish in the shot put. Meghan Ferreira defended her all-state title with
a first place time of 14.54 (#7 on the MA All-Time list) in the 100 hurdles.
The seniors of Katie Jenkins, Erika Unger, and Michelle Jenssen teamed up with
Sophomore Emiliy Broyles for a 1st place finish in the 4x400 with a meet record
time of 3:53.01 (#2 on the MA all-time list). The dedication that
the seniors have provided all season has made the Mansfield coaching staff VERY
proud. Their dedication has rubbed off on the underclassman as Emily
Broyles won the 400M (56.54 OUCH) and Kristen McDonagh placed 2nd with a school
record leap of 5'6 and Colleen Copley placed 22nd with a leap of 5'.
Junior Jess Eason earned a ticket to the New England Meet with her 6th place
finish in the shot put.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
I am officially lost for words. The
track team had the most amazing performance that I have ever witnessed in my
track career. The team totaled 95 points while runner-up North Attleboro
scored 50 points (Way to go Hock!!). Mansfield won 6 events:
Shot Put: Jess Eason 40'8
High Jump: Kristen McDonagh 5'5
400 H: Michelle Jenssen 63.53 School Record
400M: Emily Broyles 57.72
100H: Meghan Ferreira 14.7
4x400: Katie Jenkins, Emily Broyles, Erika Unger, Michelle Jenssen
Kelly McCabe had a great day with the unusual double of shot put and triple jump
and received runner-up honors in both events. Shot Put: 40'7.5
Triple Jump 36'2
Colleen Copley said she felt "jumpy" today and she was correct as she PR'd with
a 3rd place jump of 5'1. Meghan Ferreira had the most difficult day as all
her events were happening at the same time. With all the running around
she had to do, she still found a way to triple jump 35'11.5 for a third place
finish. Freshman Jen Esposito was seeded 18th going into the meet and ran
her way to a 5th place finish. Cassie Olson (2 mile 11:39.91), Erika Unger
(800M 2:21.95) and Katie Jenkins (400M 60.57) all brought home 5th place
finishes. Nina Monestime brought home a 6th place finish in the long jump
(16'0)
I can't tell you enough how proud I have been of this entire team all season!
